Intermediate level street photography weekend workshop

Friday evening to late Sunday afternoon

This unique 2-day ‘Masterclass’ street photography weekend workshop takes place from Friday evening to Sunday evening. It offers a combination of seminar learning, critique, discussion and shooting to refine your skills, build your confidence and develop your individual style as a street photographer.

With a maximum of eight participants, this challenging street photography workshop offers an in-depth, intensive and immersive learning experience. The course will focus on building on your existing knowledge (we assume you already a street photographer with a reasonable understanding of your digital or film camera) and will take your skills to a new level. With such a small group, there will be ample time for one-to-one discussion, coaching, critique and mentoring.

This is an intensive, well-structured course which provides pragmatic advice and support, all designed to make you a better street photographer. Based on four intensive sessions over two full days and one evening, the course balances classroom sessions with practical shooting. We begin the course on the Friday evening with drinks, networking and a structured critique session. The workshop continues at 10am on Saturday and will finish at around 6pm on Sunday.

Course Leader

Your course leader for the weekend is Brian Lloyd Duckett, a well-known London photographer and professional street photographer. Prior to setting up a successful commercial and editorial photography business, Brian has worked as a press and agency photographer on the streets on London; he teaches as a Visiting Lecturer on photography degree courses and is a member of the BPPA (British Press Photographers’ Association), the AOP (Association of Photographers) and the IFJ (International Federation of Journalists). He is a member of #Awakening, a collective of documentary photographers across Europe.

Brian has a very relaxed yet informative teaching style and offers lots of individual, hands-on coaching. His latest book ‘Mastering Street Photography’, is published by Ammonite Press and is a comprehensive street photography manual. The book is the perfect accompaniment to the workshop and you will be offered the opportunity to purchase a signed copy when you check-out.
