It’s that time of year again and we’re gearing up for our presence at the Photography Show at Birmingham’s NEC. The show runs over four days from 16th to 19th March and tickets are on sale now. I’m giving a talk on the first day (Saturday) at 1pm on the ‘Shoot to Inspire’ stage. My talk is entitled ‘Street photography: Making a name for yourself’. This is all about how you go about achieving recognition as a street photographer and I will guide you through the steps you need to take to get your work out there, making elements such as social media, projects, self-publishing, exhibiting and YouTube work hard for you.
As usual, we’ll have our usual StreetSnappers stand (J607 - opposite the Fujifilm stand) and Alex will be there with me for all four days - look out for all the red StreetSnappers signs! All five of my books will be available on the stand, as well as a couple of zines. Please do stop by and say ‘hello’ - it’s always good to see old and new faces.
