We should all be working on projects and, for many street photographers, they are the ‘backbone’ of their creative output. Projects will bring a real sense of purpose, motivation and fulfillment to your work, allowing you to construct and showcase a cohesive body of work. But many people struggle with street photography projects and, ultimately, many good ideas never get off the ground. This 2-hour group session, held online over a Zoom video conference call, will help you kick-start those projects and will provide you with the motivation and the stimulus to get on with it! (don’t worry if you haven’t used Zoom before – it’s very easy and we’ll send you instructions).
This session is a facilitated group discuss where each participant presents their project idea and the group brainstorms ideas, helping you to develop a coherent course of action. Topics could include, for example:
- Helping develop or expand on your existing project idea
- Develop a new idea from scratch
- A forum to ‘test’ your concept or idea before starting work on it
- Ideas and help with printing – books, zines, prints, etc
- Help with marketing and sharing your project
After the workshop, you’ll be invited to join a private Facebook group where your discussions with the other group members can continue.
Please note that we need at least 4 people to each session to work. If that threshold isn’t reached, you’ll be offered a re-scheduled date or a refund.
