STREET Photography workshops in Lisbon

Join Brian on a ‘long weekend’ group workshop where we will explore the less-trodden Lisbon, the winding back alleys where sardines are grilled on street corners and the locals sell their home-made tipple, Ginjinha, outside their front doors. The city offers great weather, amazing light, terrific food and photo opportunities around every corner.

Brian runs travel / street photography workshops in Lisbon in late spring and he has an intimate knowledge of the city.

The weekend will start on the Wednesday evening where we’ll meet for a light ‘get to know each other’ supper; this is optional but it’s a great way to kick the weekend off

Each of the three workshop days will be spent in a different area of the city, providing us with opportunities to practise different styles of street photography. We’ll use public transport on one of these days (the cost is included in the cost of the workshop) to take us out of the city to explore some striking modern architecture.

You will be in a small group (maximum of 6 participants) and there will be ample opportunity for one-to-one discussion, tuition and mentoring.

Brian’s Lisbon photography workshops combine elements of street, travel and documentary photography; we work on techniques for exposure, focusing and composition; learn how to spot an opportunity for a unique picture; discover how work with great light and become a master of it; build your confidence as a street photographer; perfect your digital workflow.

Most of all, you will discover new ways of telling the story of your travels through great images. We will be doing lots of structured shooting and you will receive coaching, mentoring and constant feedback from your course leader, Brian Lloyd Duckett.

Your workshop will be immersive, inspiring and great fun. The experience will challenge you, stretch you and will elevate your photography.
