Photo North Festival - street photography in Blackpool

On Sunday I popped in to the Photo North Festival in Blackpool and I have to say it’s well worth a visit.

The theme is ‘Postcards From The Edge’, a perspective on the English seaside from photographers such as Peter Dench and Barry Lewis - and lots of other photographers such as local street shooters Dawn Mander, Gisela Szlatoszlavek and Craig Szlatoszlavek. There’s also a great section featuring RPS members - including one of my workshop students, Roy Henstock!

The exhibition is in the galley space above the lovely Hive coffee shop (80-82 Church St, Blackpool FY1 1HP) and is being run in conjunction withHIVEArts. It runs until 14th August and you can get further information from Dawn Mander at HIVEArts: dawn.mander@hivearts.co.uk.

If you’re into Blackpool street photography, do visit!
