STREET PHOTOGRAPHY IN BOLOGNA

Bologna is a terrific city - for culture, food, weather, hospitality - and photography. The images below were taken on our summer holiday (not, I was sternly informed, a ‘street photography trip’) - so I didn’t have much time for street photography in Bologna. These images, therefore, are a combination of street photography and travel photography.

In situations such as this, I’ll try to record the ‘essence’ of a place, trying to figure out what gives a location its unique identity and then shoot a series of images along those lines.

So here’s the essence of Bologna, shot on a too-short visit of five days last week. I’m still editing from this trip and will probably create a zine at some point.
