Today’s quick tip: get some business cards made!

You don’t need to be a professional photographer to have business cards and, without doubt, every street photographer should have one.

These little cards are invaluable and have a variety of uses. They can be used to reassure people of your integrity; they can point to your ‘serious or good intent’; they can help signpost your authenticity as photographer. Cards can also open doors and get you access to restricted areas.

I often shoot street portraits and I always give the subject a card so they they can contact me if you would like a copy of the picture; this is much easier than writing down their email adress and it puts the onus on them to contact you.
