'24 HOURS IN SHOREDITCH' - PROJECT BOOTCAMP DAY

£225.00
Limited Availability

Before the workshop:

I’d like you to do a little research about Shoreditch and come to the workshop with a rough idea of a project - and don’t worry - a very rough idea is fine - the workshop will help you to refine your idea into a workable plan.

On the day:

  • Our group (maximum of 6 people) will meet in a café at 10am to briefly discuss each others' project ideas and to learn how projects are conceived, executed and produced.

  • We’ll then shoot the streets together for the rest of the morning, working on our project.

  • Whilst shooting, we’ll discuss projects at length, both individually and as a group.

  • There will be a 1.5-hour session in the middle of the day for solo shooting (including a brief lunch break).

  • The group will reconvene at 3pm after the above session.

  • We’ll then spend the rest of the afternoon together, shooting, discussing and planning.

  • You’ll get a real insight into how I visualise a project and take the idea through to completion; you’ll see the streets through my eyes and see how I can work on 2-3 projects concurrently.

  • Throughout the day we will live and breathe projects and zines.

  • Whilst the workshop will formally end at 5pm (followed by an optional drink in the pub), there’s nothing to stop you sticking around in Shoreditch and shooting into the night, making it truly a ‘24 Hours in Shoreditch’ theme - or perhaps by your making multiple trips back to the area to complete your body of work.

After the workshop:

I’ll schedule a 30-minute Zoom session with you during the month following the workshop. The agenda is yours: we could discuss, for example -

  • A review of your images from the workshop.

  • Fine-tuning the aesthetic.

  • Editing and sequencing your zine (or book).

  • Layout and design for your zine or book.

  • Printing and publication.

  • Marketing your work.
