Last Sunday’s workshop in Shoreditch took place on a bleak, grey and misty Sunday morning. As there were not many people around - and not much activity on the streets - we turned our attention to shooting some urban landscapes.

Chris Killip’s full-career retrospective is currently on view at London’s Photographers’ Gallery (close to Oxford Circus) and you can see it until 19th February. We often hear about ‘working the scene’ as a street photography technique. Here’s an example of how it works in practice - shot last weekend in Liverpool.
